Job Description

The Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting ASEM across Business Development, Marketing, and Operations. This role offers exposure to event coordination, program management, content creation, stakeholder engagement, and student or partner interactions. You will collaborate with different teams to support ASEM’s growth, operations, and outreach initiatives while learning practical skills in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development (BD) Assist in designing corporate decks and presentation materials. Take detailed meeting notes and follow up on action items. Prepare meeting rooms and coordinate schedules for internal and external meetings. Network with industry partners and assist in business development meetings. Support pitching ASEM programs and initiatives to potential partners. Assist in organizing events such as career fairs, recruitment drives, or awareness campaigns. Marketing Assist in graphic design for social media, presentations, and promotional materials. Support content planning and ideation, including short video concepts. Update social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, RED Note) with scheduled content. Collaborate with the team to maintain a consistent brand presence and messaging. Operations / Student Engagement Support student placement coordination, internships, and industry attachments. Assist in organizing student onboarding, events, and programs. Maintain accurate records of student or program data and assist with reporting. Serve as a point of contact for student or participant inquiries, ensuring smooth communication and engagement.

Requirements

Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma/Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Event Management, Education, or related field. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu; proficiency in Chinese or Tamil is an advantage. Confident, proactive, and able to engage stakeholders professionally. Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with design or video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) is a plus. Passionate about learning, student engagement, marketing, and program coordination.
